3D printing Lab

Given a budget of $20,000 to improve the additive manufacturing capabilities of the Agricultural and Biological Engineering department at the University of Florida. Provided a variety of options based on different printing modalities like SLA, SLS, and FFF. Based on their primary goal of an educational experience with use of these printers I proceeded to make recommendations based on printing capabilities including print speed, definition, and material versatility. I sourced and provided estimates for 8 FFF of varying print volumes. All 8 of these printers are completely open source allowing for ease of modification, repair and material versatility. 6 of these printers purchased as well as a 7th printer the department previously had are all on a single server where students can start, watch and stop their prints.
